The semi-Automated workflow does not require a Hardware Security Module (HSM) and relies on a bank issued smart-card for authentication to the BACS report service. This is why the workflow is semi-automated - the smart-card procedure is a manual process requiring operator intervention. A fully automated workflow requiring no human intervention is possible using a HSM see this section.
The Workflow
An example of a semi-automated Direct Debit Advice processor is below. It consists of two nodes connected serially so that they run sequentially.
Node |
Purpose |
CRON Trigger |
Triggers the workflow on a recurring schedule, E.g. Every day at 5pm. |
BACS Advice Integrator |
Automatically reads the downloaded BACS advices and integrates the information into the DDMS, creates alerts, updates payer records and if necessary, sends out payer messages such as advance notice messages. |
Configuring the DDMS Advice Integrator Node
Select the same group that you selected in the previous step.
Set the 'Report File Path' to "c:\paygate\Ddms\Reports\unproc\uk"
